SpacePilot (3DConnexion) support
A SpacePilot makes navigating through 3D Visualizations so much more easy than just using a mouse.
Please include support for this hardware.

Hello, I am Narendra from India. I study in Bergische University, Wuppertal, Germany (Master in Computational Mechanical Engineering)
I am an avid user of ParaFoam, for CFD post processing. The extensive usage urges me to request you to enable Spacepilot usage for ParaFoam. Its difficult for me to use the regular mouse for all models. Every CAX tool I have come across allows us to use the spacepilot except paraFoam. Please do he required.

can we get an update on this once 3.9 comes out? that would be great, thanks. i can't wait to be able to use my two favorite viz tools together!

I would also appreciate it a LOT!!! It would be a great feature and a nice help for the Paraview users.

This would be a really ground-breaking feature in terms of the usability of Paraview for quick Post-processing of large visually intensive and complex datasets.
It would also immensely help in the quick creation of visually appealing qualitative analyses.

This is a feature that really needs to be enabled to attract customers used to other high end packages. Paraview is a great application but without this it is less productive and people will be tempted to use other applications.
I would hope that someone with more coding experience than me would be able to get something up and running for this in the near future.
Best Regards,
Scott

There is a support for VTK. Implementing it in paraview should be a walk in the park:

And it would be really awesome! -

Please, please, please add SpacePilot support. It just makes everything so much easier as you no longer need to use the mouse to move around.

a year ago, i tried to access the spacepilots via its /dev entry. it was quite easy. it should be no problem to do this.

I've had one of these for so long and have hardly used it - it would be nice to get it back out of the box!
