Access components in "Find Data"
Well, I bet the following is able to be done in the "Find Data" dialog, but I was not able to figure out how by considering the documentation.
I'd like to apply a "Find Data" Query to components of a vector-valued quantity. For example:
a) The velocity has an X, Y, Z-component. I 'd like to get all Points where Velocity.X > 1.5, independent of the Y or Z-component.
b) I'd like to get all points with X-coordinate = 1.5. I tried queries like "coordsX==1.5", "Points[0]=1.5", "Points.X=1.5", "Points[X]=1.5" and some more -- no chance.
It would be great if this could be done in the "Find Data" Dialog. If it is possible alreads, please include in the Wiki a more detailed information how to access components of such array-valued data and which additional special arrays (like point coordinates) can be used.
Try the following:
(a) Velocity[:0] > 1.5
(b) Good point…looks like we missed that. I’ve added a bug: http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=14526
BTW, the ParaView mailing list, might be a better place to ask such questions. It is monitored more frequently than ParaView.UserVoice, which is used to select new features to add to ParaView periodically.
